The Bibbulmun Track
The Bibbulmun Track is the only true long distance walking trail in Western Australia. Contrary to popular belief, the track follows no traditional Aboriginal routes - even though the Bibbulumun people often travelled long distances for corrobories or to find fresh food.

The Track was conceived by Perth bushwalker Geoff Schaffer in 1972. The project to maintain and extend the Track was then taken over by CALM (Conservation and Land Management) and it currently runs 963.1 km from Kalamunda to Albany; passing through Balingup.
The track is easy to follow, with distinctive yellow Waugal signs set a regular intervals.
There are camps sites north View from Bibbulman(Grimwade) and south (Blackwood Hut) of Balingup.This is a walking trail - no bikes, horses or vehicles are permitted. You can purchase maps at the Balingup Tourist Information Center and the Post Office.
